You never know what you might find. A myth revealed, a history fact set straight, a joke to laugh at, a poem to awe at or even plain speaking of current events. One thing for sure it will be quite a ride.

In Memory of George Carlin

By now many have heard that George Carlin died Sunday, June 22, 2008. George was 71 and was at a show as recently as last week in Nevada.

Many have no clue that George Carlin was in the U.S. Air Force, he was first a suit and tie comedian and he even appeared on 'The Tonight Show' when Jack Paar was the host.

What I believe George was best known for were the seven "Filthy Words" that eventually lead George Carlin to the Supreme Court.

And in memory of George I would like to list those seven words.

The Original 'Seven Filthy Words':

shit,

piss,

fuck,

cunt,

cocksucker,

motherfucker,

and tits.

And for those of you that would like to read the direct quote from the Supreme Court Decision of FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION v. PACIFICA FOUNDATION, 438 U.S. 726, 98 S.Ct. 3026 (1978), you can here

George Carlin is one person that I looked up to for the simple fact he held the U.S. Constitution dear to his heart; especially the First Amendment, and he refused to allow all American's rights to be dismissed.

George I hope you're enjoying your after-life in which you are watching the decline of civilization on a "heavenly CNN." (comment by George Carlin to Playboy in 2005) We all know you were looking forward to it, and could you keep a seat warm for us?
